Teaching and Training
Peg is a gifted teacher and trainer. Since 2002 she has been teaching all levels of Reiki privately as well as Reiki 1 classes and certification through various colleges and universities as below.
Classes which are currently offered include:
Reiki 1
Usui style basic Reiki. In this class you will receive an attunement to open your healing channels and taught the basic hand positions and symbols for giving a complete Reiki treatment to yourself and others. All students are given the opportunity to practice their reiki skills upon others in class, with supervision and guidance to assure that energy is felt and properly directed during treatment. Each student will leave the class with the knowledge and skill to perform Reiki treatments on themselves and others, as well as Certification in Reiki 1.
Reiki 2
This class will include a second level of attunement for Usui Reiki as well as additional symbols and methods for offering a higher level of treatment in addressing the emotional aspects of healing. The most unique and impressive feature of Reiki 2 is that it teaches you to send Reiki long distance – across time and space – allowing you to feel the energy of your patient even hundreds of miles away. This allows you to treat individuals who are unable to come to your office due to physical illnesses or distance. The impact of long-distance reiki is equally powerful and effective, allowing you to also supplement regular treatments to accelerate the healing process. Reiki 2 Certification is achieved.
Reiki 3
This class is the Usui Master level class, which offers the highest level of attunement with techniques and symbols for addressing healing on all levels. During this training, you will also learn also how to give an attunement, to prepare you for possible teaching in the future and passing on Reiki energy to others. Following this class, you will be offered an opportunity, if desired, to teach a reiki class under supervision, allowing you to be certified as a Reiki Master Teacher.
Holy Fire III/Karuna Reiki Classes
All levels are taught. These classes include the use of the Holy Fire III and Karuna Reiki symbols, with placements and ignitions to allow a direct transmission of healing energies to your aura, as well as meditative experiences to raise your vibrational frequencies and connect to your higher self.
Integrative Holistic Therapy
This class is designed for Reiki practitioners who are also counselors/therapists, who wish to learn how to integrate Reiki treatments into their therapy sessions. It reviews basic energy principles and demonstrates how any therapy session can be supplemented with the body work that helps to relieve anxiety, identify trauma and clear blocked energies from the chakras. It is offered privately.

Reiki 1 Certification:
Using Energy Work In Human Service Practice
This one day class is offered twice annually through the UB School of Social Work, Office of Continuing Education. It is designed for LMHCs, Social Workers, Therapists and other Healing practitioners who wish to integrate Reiki into their counseling/therapy practice. It offers Reiki 1 training and certification, as well as the basic structure and demonstrations on how to integrate Reiki into a therapy session. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Classes
This is a one day class which teaches the basics of EFT (tapping). It begins with an overall understanding of how the tapping process works, including the impact upon the energy systems, nervous system and brain. It teaches the basic acupuncture points for tapping as well as a basic tapping formula. Through various demonstrations, several techniques are introduced, in addition to modeling the use of EFT to alleviate stress, trauma and pain. This class should prepare you to use EFT in everyday life. Additionally, it prepares therapists and counselors to provide tapping interventions on a deeper emotional level, integrating with other therapies to resolve older trauma and pain. It is taught annually through the UB School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education and can be registered for at socialwork.buffalo.edu. You can also arrange a private smaller class with Peg.
